Hartzell Rough Frame

First post for a new single family we’re building for a customer in Evanston. Kneewalls and 1st floor exterior walls are just about done.

905 Hickory - Siding

I should probably post an update for this project. Siding is mostly completed with just a few details needed to be finished on a return trip. One of those details is to paint that white louver the same color as the trim. The interior is just about ready for rough inspections.

Foundation

The foundation was pored and set. The site was back-filled. Sewer and water have been hooked up to the mains. The excavator will come back to smooth out the site a bit. And next we'll be starting the carpenter on the 1st floor deck.

Here’s a few different angles of the site. By the way, those 2x12’s sticking up out of the foundation are there to support the walls during the back fill.

378 W Michigan - Exterior

The exterior is looking good. We’re getting there, but we still need to do the final landscaping, paint the front door, and window cleaning. I’ll post an update on the interior after we’ve painted.

905 N Hickory - Digging

Excavation is complete. This is going to be a great home.

It’s nice that we are starting this one in Summer so we can get it closed up and heated before it gets cold out.

378 W Michigan

This is just before we installed the roof trusses. We’re shooting to have the roof on and the house closed up before the end of the year. Hopefully, the weather holds out.

378 Michigan - 1st Floor Walls Going Up

We’re in the middle of some nice fall weather here. It’s a great time for building.
